Date and time of CAPS investigation: <\/b>08\/12\/2018; 2:51 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n Approximate number of dogs observed at time of investigation: <\/b>30 puppies from breeders and 12 dogs from \u201crescue.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Puppies were in closed topped glass front enclosures with a small bed on wire. Enclosures were two-high. There were signs offering information on the source of the puppies in clear public view. Cage cards on the front of each enclosure provided breeder\/broker\/transporter\/vet information. Part of the right side of the store was for dogs listed as rescues, which I will investigate at a later date.<\/span><\/p>\n I spoke with an employee named Carolyn who said the store used professional breeders, that the owner visited the breeders, and that the store was not allowed to work with backyard breeders as it was illegal. I asked for reports for a specific breeder. Carolyn said they were on top of the enclosures in front of me. I retrieved them, and Carolyn took them to look through them. Carolyn then walked away out of view for approximately two minutes.
